Jude Jehad Asadi is an interdisciplinary video artist based in Phoenix, Arizona. She holds a BFA in 3D/Extended Media from the University of Arizona. Her work responds to her multifaceted upbringing as a Palestinian woman raised in the Southwest of the United States.
Jude’s work offers a variety of visual signifiers, deliberate sounds, and mundane rituals. She is profoundly influenced by television production, often creating work in the comfort of her own home. Providing the viewer with abundant visual information, Jude continually performs what it means to live as several things simultaneously. The forefront of her work is a reaction to critical issues on Palestine, Arab femininity, culture shock, and body acceptance. Through her continuous practice, experimentation with visual media is key to connecting the dots between her lived reality and the world around her.
